AP Poll: A top-seven shakeup, and Murray State crashes the party

After a bit of a crazy penultimate week of college basketball's regular season, there has finally been a shake-up near the top of the Associated Press Top 25.
Sure, Kentucky is still your unanimous No. 1 after routing Arkansas over the weekend, and Virginia is still No. 2. However, with Gonzaga's loss Saturday, there is a new No. 3 team: the Duke Blue Devils. Behind them are Villanova, Arizona, Wisconsin and the aforementioned Gonzaga Bulldogs. Wichita State moves up to No. 8 following its big win against Northern Iowa, followed by Kansas and Maryland to round out the top 10.
Two teams fell out of the Top 25 this week -- San Diego State and VCU -- following losses, and were replaced by two of the more fun teams in college hoops. Ohio State, coming off of a big 25-point D'Angelo Russell performance in a comeback win over Purdue on Sunday, slides in at No. 23, continuing its back-and-forth affair with the poll.
Then, the No. 25 team in the country is Murray State, which hasn't lost since Nov. 29. The Racers are a weird case, in that they only have four KenPom top-150 wins this season (and zero top-100 wins). Plus, they're 0-2 in games against top-100 competition. But still, there comes a point where simply winning every game deserves to be rewarded, and Steve Prohm's crew has done that now for a three-month stretch. My guess is that they'll still have to win the OVC tournament to get into the Big Dance, but for now it's cool to see them back in the poll for the first time since 2012.
Here's the entire poll:
1. Kentucky (65 first-place votes)
2. Virginia
3. Duke
4. Villanova
5. Arizona
6. Wisconsin
7. Gonzaga
8. Wichita State
9. Kansas
10. Maryland
11. Northern Iowa
12. Notre Dame
13. Utah
14. Baylor
15. Oklahoma
16. Louisville
17. Iowa State
18. Arkansas
19. North Carolina
20. West Virginia
21. Butler
22. SMU
23. Ohio State
24. Providence
25. Murray State
