Like Dave, I am a fan of the Seton Hall University Pirates. I go back to the 1954-55 season and Coach John "Honey" Russell. From time to time I will be adding some tidbits from the Pirate Treasure Trove, going way back to the days of Chuck "The Rifleman" Connors right up to the present day, Sterling Gibbs. Proud to say I graduated from the Hall in 1969.

Frank, We're all thrilled to have you! Your knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to Seton Hall are truly spectacular! Our members don't realize you live in walking distance to Seton Hall Prep and not far to the university. You're family is involved in coaching at the college level and you have a ton of resources which will provide much to this message board.

Welcome Frank! I know Dave's really happy about you joining our group and says you're a top-notch fan. Don't let the lack of posts fool you, this is a very competitive group and highly knowledgeable about college basketball. Most of us work and don't have access to a computer during the week but when the contests start our participation will pick up.

Thank you Doug and Greg W.. Doug, I got to know Bobby Hurley's dad quite well when I worked in Jersey City. A great man. And Kyrie Irving grew up in my town. Greg, Sorry to say, my favorite football team is Tennessee. My son played for and coached with Butch Jones when they were starting out at Wilkes University. The coach in my family is Brother John. But it is the field events at his alma mater, St. John's, where he was athlete of the year way back 40 years ago. But no one I know has more basketball savvy than the iconic Pirate Dave.

Glad you joined and hope you enjoy our group. Think you'll find our contests challenging, but loads of fun. BTW, Dave's sharp, but nobody around here knows their basketball like me!!!! lol
