West Orange native Mike McCree named football coach at Hanover Area in Pa.

WEST ORANGE – Mike McCree, a West Orange native, was named the new football coach at Hanover Area in Pennsylvania.
McCree, as a youth, played for the West Orange PAL before enjoying a standout career as a lineman at Seton Hall Prep.
McCree was a standout linebacker at Wilkes University in Pa., earning Middle Atlantic Conference all-star honors twice and being named the team’s defensive MVP in 1993. He led the Colonels in tackles for three years. McCree also was an assistant coach at Wilkes for 11 seasons. He remains Wilkes University Associate Admissions Director.
